Thanks for checking out Trail Dummies. We don’t take hiking too seriously, but we do love it. Don’t take us too seriously and we’ll love you too! But not in that weird way where you feel you need a shower afterwards.

Trail Dummies. Watch our videos and then put a rock in your shoe – it’s just like being there.

Eagle Rock Trail Topanga (more info)

Not the Eagle Rock in Eagle Rock. It’s in Topanga Canyon. Should really just be called Bird Face Rock.

——————————————————————————-

Malibu Creek State Park (more info)

Is there really a creek in these dusty mountains? Well if you keep your definition of “creek” wide open there is.

——————————————————————————-

Winding Way Trial (more info)

A completely chill waterfall hike (with lizards!) that you know will annoy rich people in Malibu. That’s a win/win.

——————————————————————————-

Hummingbird Trail (more info)

If you have a shred of self-esteem don’t bother with this trail. The 118 is not a river. 4 feet deep is not a cave. Mountain Bikes aren’t wildlife. You deserve better.

——————————————————————————-

Ahmanson Ranch Trail (more info)

Land developers fought for thousands of years for the right to put golf cart paths all over this land. Luckily, there was nowhere to plug in the carts, so they went to Scottsdale Arizona.

——————————————————————————-

ECHO CANYON TRAIL (more info)

Can you believe that people used to vacation up here? However, people also used to think Dennis Miller was funny.  People…

——————————————————————————-

Caballero Canyon Trail (more info)

If your most important criteria for a hiking trail is “parking near a country club” this place will not disappoint. Just keep your other expectations nice and low.

——————————————————————————-

Sullivan Canyon Trail (more info)

If you are sick and tired of the pundits telling you that blazing sun, trail dust, and spider webs are uncomfortable, hit this trail and prove them wrong! Heck, don’t even bring water! Stupid pundits.

——————————————————————————-

Westridge Trail (more info)

The faster you run along this trail, the sooner it will be over.

——————————————————————————-

Charmlee Wilderness Park (more info)

When Suzanne Sommers and Charlie Sheen need some “Me Time,” they have their people drive up the hill to Charmlee Park and report back to them what their houses look like from way up here.

——————————————————————————-

Runyon Canyon Parking (more info)

Parking at Runyon Canyon sucks. This will make it one degree less sucky.

——————————————————————————-

RUNYON CANYON PART 2 – The Douchey Loop (more info)

If you are a beautiful exhibitionist, welcome to Nirvana. If you like to pretend you’re walking your dog, but really just like looking at beautiful exhibitionists… again, Nirvana.

——————————————————————————-

RUNYON CANYON PART 1 – THE MAIN TRAIL (more info)

Sometimes known as Silicone Valley, the best place in LA to take your new boob job and tramp stamp out for some air.

——————————————————————————-

MONROVIA CANYON WATERFALL (more info)

The City of Monrovia will spoil you for regular trails. I think they have a crew come in at night to dust.

——————————————————————————-

TREE OF LIFE TRAIL (more info)

Would you like to write a poem about being taller than Burbank and Hollywood? This trail is not for heart patients or the illiterate.

——————————————————————————-

NIKE MISSILE SITE TRAIL (more info)

On the right day, and with the right car, you don’t even have to hike this, you can drive here. A perennial mountain bikers hub.

———————————————————————————

Flat and asphalt-y. But shaded and lake-y.

————————————-

Switzer Falls (more info)

Lots of people like peace, quiet, and solitude… they will all be up here with you.

————————————-

Jim Morrison Cave (more info)

Dude, this is totally closed. So don’t, like, ignore the signs, and like, spark a bowl, and like, just expand your mind like Jim would have liked.

————————————-

Henninger Flats Trail (more info)

It’s quiet, shady and green at the top, just the way Hulk like.

————————————-

Paradise Creek Falls (more info)

Get to the creek as quickly as you can!… But don’t drink it! It’s poison! Otherwise, friggin’ awesome trail.

————————————-

Fox Hollow Trail (more info)

Next time you’re in Virginia, join with the local leprechaun hunters and take down one of those little green bastards!

————————————-

Stoney Point Faceplant

We made fun of rock climbers so Karma grabbed John Cooper and threw him to the ground. I’m still checking the sky for safes and pianos.

————————————-

EATON CANYON TRAIL (more info)

Bring ear protection. If the woodpeckers and helicopters don’t get ya, the thundering falls and crying babies will.

————————————-

RAINFOREST TRAIL (more info)

Fryman Canyon is right near you, but who needs all those people, right? This trail is hidden nearby and has some groovy features.

————————————–

FRYMAN FIREROAD TRAIL (more info)

It is almost a requirement to have a dog on this trail. But even if you don’t, the parking is so great, it’s worth it.

————————————–

DEARING MULHOLLAND TRAIL (more info)

This might be the beginning of all Santa Monica Mountain trails! Or, just a good place for a plaque that says that.

————————————-

BRIAR SUMMIT TRAIL (more info)

Are you afraid of dirt? This fully paved trail has great views and great places to hide during an air raid.

———————————–

FRANKLIN CANYON TRAILS (more info)

Near Coldwater Canyon, this little park has about 4 different names, 20 little side trails, and an illegal stop sign camera that will have a ticket in your mailbox before you get home.

———————————

HASTAIN TRAIL (more info)

In Franklin Canyon, this trail is a sunny, dusty loop. Watch the video so that you don’t have to go here – snakes will eat your dog. Seriously. Don’t go.

———————————

DIXIE CANYON TRAIL (more info)

A tiny little gem in Studio City. If you live nearby you have to try it. If you don’t, you don’t.

———————————

FRYMAN CANYON TRAIL (more info)

A Laurel Canyon classic. If you like your trails wide and are afraid of solitude, you have found Nirvana.

——————————–
